Spicy Cajun Chickpeas

Spicy Cajun Chickpeas? Yes, Please! Chickpeas (also known as garbanzo beans) are an amazing versatile food full of nutritional benefits. They are packed with protein and make a great substitute for meat.

This is a quick and easy way to spice up your meal!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chickpeas
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tsp sriracha sauce
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp chili seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp fresh squeezed lime juice
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

After rinsing chickpeas, add the olive oil and chickpeas to a non-stick pan.

Add honey, lime juice, and seasoning/spices to chickpeas and sauté for 3-5 minutes.

Transfer sautéed chickpeas to a bowl and add parsley for garnish.

Enjoy these delicious chickpeas over a bed of rice or accompanied by your favorite seasonal veggies!
